It's not ALL about Baseball.

Hello everyone,

This past weekend (Sat-Sun) my friend Kristen and I decided to go to the Ben and Jerry's factory in Vermont. I am very happy we decided to go, because it was a nice getaway trip. It was great to stay in a hotel with AC, bigger beds, see a part of the country I've always wanted to (which is beautiful) and of course, tour the factory! :) The factory tour was short, but cheap $3. It was a lot of fun...and their flavor graveyard was definitely the best part (besides our free sample). The graveyard is where the old flavors that no longer exist are laid to rest. We had some fun with taking pictures, as you will see below.

Throughout this week I have just been catching up on my projects, working on my article and writing more labels. It's definitely crunch time to get these done, and I look forward to doing so. Watching the All Star Game events made me miss home a little, but it's still amazing to be here. The things I will be taking away from here are immeasurable, really.

Hall of Fame Induction weekend is next weekend, so everybody seems to be getting really busy (and stressed) about that. I look forward to being a part of the events, and I will definitely post about it.

Other than that, the weather has cooled down some, but I think another heat wave is coming...I'm managing though. As I said, our quick trip was very nice. We had great weather and I cannot describe how beautiful Vermont is. There were so many times we wanted to stop and take photographs.

I hope you enjoy the ones I did take below. Thanks for reading!!!

Kristen and I

We toured the factory on a Sunday, and unfortunately the machines weren't running.

Our free sample=ChocCOWlate Chip

See...little chocolate cows :)

Don't know what goes on here, but I took the photo anyways

The factory itself.

The flavor graveyard!

With tombstones and all...

This sounds delicious and I don't think it deserved to die

I can see why this flavor died, though...

The view...SO GREEN!

Taking a ferry across Lake Champlain from Vermont to NY

Beautiful

And, wouldn't you know it...we ended up at Fort Ticonderoga, but it was closed. Definitely nice scenery though.

  1. You were in Ti? My Freshman year of College was not too far from Ticonderoga, well, maybe half an hour but it had the closest wal-mart! It is BEAUTIFUL in that neck of the woods. Glad to hear you got to explore some. :-)
