After getting settled, we took the subway straight to Citi Field. It turned out to be a nice evening, considering it was pretty humid in the city. We definitely enjoyed the atmosphere and the food! We all thought it was a great stadium. Once the game was over, we took the subway into Times Square. None of us have been there at night, so it was definitely something we wanted to do.
The next day (Sat) we ate a very nice brunch. Then, myself, Kristen and Sarah headed for the city to walk around Central Park a bit and go to the Empire State Building, both things I've never done before. Although it was humid again, at least it was a clear and sunny day. And, there was a nice breeze that seemed to kick in at the right moments. Much better than the rain the area had the next day, so we were lucky...
Once we were done with the Empire State Buidling, we all headed back to Poughkeepsie through Grand Central Station, then drove back here to Oneonta. It was quick trip, but definitely enjoyable, not to mention it was nice to get to know the girls I was with. Enjoy the pictures below!
Miss you all and thanks for continuing to check on the blog.
Citi Field
The Jackie Robinson Rotunda entrance. The quote reads: "A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives." This is a beautiful part of the stadium, a great tribute.
Lovin the pics of Central Park and Times Square. The park looks so different throughout the year...can't wait to see it again! And Times Square...you can't beat it at night. Did you find the Starbucks? Thanks for getting the Empire State Building out of your system. Extreme heights and I do not agree. :-)
