4 day weekend

This past weekend, most of the interns were given 4 days off due to working 10 days straight. Myself and 3 others took the opportunity to leave to NYC and see a Mets game (as if we don't get enough baseball at the HOF). :) Although it was a quick trip, it was definitely fun and nice to get away for a bit. We left Friday morning, drove to the Poughkeepsie train station about 2 hours away, then took the train to the city. This was an incredibly beautiful drive through the Catskills. From there, we went to where we were staying for the night, the apartment of Anna's friend. (You'll see Anna and the other girls in the photos below)

After getting settled, we took the subway straight to Citi Field. It turned out to be a nice evening, considering it was pretty humid in the city. We definitely enjoyed the atmosphere and the food! We all thought it was a great stadium. Once the game was over, we took the subway into Times Square. None of us have been there at night, so it was definitely something we wanted to do.

The next day (Sat) we ate a very nice brunch. Then, myself, Kristen and Sarah headed for the city to walk around Central Park a bit and go to the Empire State Building, both things I've never done before. Although it was humid again, at least it was a clear and sunny day. And, there was a nice breeze that seemed to kick in at the right moments. Much better than the rain the area had the next day, so we were lucky...

Once we were done with the Empire State Buidling, we all headed back to Poughkeepsie through Grand Central Station, then drove back here to Oneonta. It was quick trip, but definitely enjoyable, not to mention it was nice to get to know the girls I was with. Enjoy the pictures below!
